Solstice Project 10 - equinox 1 - London

The path of the sun across the sky on the vernal equinox at my location on the equinox, 20th March
My location on the northern spring/ southern autumnal equinox did not have a clear view of the horizon to east or west. The photos show a guess at the path of the sun on the solstice in Cambridge Circus, London. The panorama setting on my camera makes the photos look pleasingly strange.
Another view from the same point.
I had intended to plot a path to the sun's appearance and disappearance from a new point on my territory on the equinoxes, but was away from home in what turned out to be deserted and shut down London on the day. The photos above were my only record of the day on this subject. I couldn't see the horizon, but a fair piece of the sky was available for the sun to travel over.
I haven't yet checked facts on this, but logic suggests that the sun rises and sets from the same apparent points on the vernal and autumnal equinoxes, because it is halfway between its most northerly and southerly points, going one way in spring and the other in autumn (or southerly and northerly if you're in that odd northern hemisphere). So I will conduct my equinox plotting on the next equinox, and continue with that thought (true or not).
