Solstice Project 5 - summer 5 - interaction

Middle Rock, 20th January 2020: someone climbed the rock and knocked down the marker stones.
One of the ingredients of my outdoor artworks is the possibility of change - weather and animals, for instance, often move objects around. Although the area in which the Solstice project exists is not commonly visited, it is neither particularly private nor is it enclosed or secluded. So when someone climbed the rock and knocked off the three marker stones...
... here the stones may be seen on the ground (if you really want to inspect the photograph carefully)
... I was rather pleased that an interaction had occurred. It is not, after all, a sacred, fixed artwork hanging in a gallery, but is intended to change and adapt to whatever happens to it.
The central marker stones, replaced on the summit.
